RMAP Application 2018-2019

This year’s program has new features you will want to consider. For 2018-2019, members who achieve 100 points or more will be granted accreditation status AND as an additional incentive, a random drawing will be conducted from all accredited members. The awards are many: up to 10% of district’s contribution REFUNDED (maximum award of $50,000), the possibility of ACCREDITATION status AND… your district could be drawn for complimentary attendance for up to two attendees to attend the 2019-2020 Public Agency Risk Management Association (PARMA) conference. This is a conference dedicated to the professional development of all California public agency personnel with risk management responsibility.

In addition, other changes include a meeting to review the analytics related to your district (or industry, as applicable). This meeting is required to take place between November 1, 2018 and February 1, 2019. We ask that you propose this date to us based on the availability of your safety manager and a member of your district’s governing body in your letter of intent.

By the way, that’s still the first hurdle in this process: your letter of intent is due in our office by 5 p.m. on December 3, 2018. As always, the application is due the first Monday in March by 5 p.m.

We hope you will agree, the RMAP endeavor is a worthwhile pursuit for fiscal health of your agency, as well as the health and safety of your leadership, administration and employees. And if you aren’t quite there yet, know that a Road Map exists to guide you on your way to excellence.
