In the past few weeks Covered California sent out a letter notifying their members that they must give their consent to Covered California to verify their income and family size to determine their subsidy eligibility for their health plan in 2016. If you have employees that you know are members of Covered California it would be a good idea to send them a reminder to provide consent no later than the deadline of 9/30/15 so that they may be eligible for the 2016 subsidy. If they do not reply by the deadline their subsidy will automatically end on 12/31/15.
