Timely reporting of claims is a crucial element of the claims process. When a member reports a claim promptly, it enables GSRMA to take immediate action on the claim such as mitigating inconvenience to the member or preserving any evidence that may be needed to reject or defend a liability claim.

The best way to report a claim is to complete and submit a claim form. Sample Claim Forms are available on the GSRMA website as follows:

GSRMA.org  >  Resources

Claim Forms (Auto Loss Notice or Property Loss Notice)

Ideally, the form should be submitted to the appropriate claims team using the “claims” email for liability claims and “propertyclaims” email for property claims as follows:

claimsATgsrma.org – For all claims received by a member from a third-party. (replace AT with @)

Example: Party alleges trip and fall on sidewalk.

propertyclaimsATgsrma.org – For damage to a member’s property, autos or equipment. (replace AT with @)

Example: Tree falls onto member fencing; or, members vehicle sustains a broken windshield.

Upon receipt of the claim from the member, our claims team promptly sets up a claim and contacts the member to provide guidance on next steps. Often, an investigator is assigned to gather additional information and quickly settle a claim. The member is apprised as the claim is processed and direction or recommendation is provided as needed.

Many times, even what appears to be a simple claim, may develop into something challenging and costly. Timely reporting is the best way for members to help us resolve claims quickly, efficiently, and cost-effectively.

We understand that receiving a claim can be overwhelming, so please don’t hesitate to call us at 530-934-5633 if you have any questions or need assistance with completing our claims form – we are here to help!
