Risk management is the means by which we evaluate financial risks together with the identification of procedures to minimize their impact. In the past, the intent of the Loss Prevention Incentive Program has been to assist our members in the reduction of losses, enhance existing safety or loss prevention programs and improve regulatory compliance. GSRMA continues to grow and seeks to strengthen pool stability for the benefit of all members. With this, programs must grow too.

In an effort to add prestige to those members who consistently perform at the highest level and bring best practices to the forefront of your loss prevention efforts, we are pleased to introduce a new version of the LPIP to be known as the Risk Management Accreditation Program (RMAP). In addition to best practices applicable to all public agencies, the RMAP highlights fraud prevention policies and includes the added feature of accreditation. Accreditation will occur for those members who achieve the maximum award. This designation will be commended by a plaque in honor of those members who earn the full 10% possible. The Risk Management Accreditation Program (RMAP) was approved by the board of directors at the July board meeting.

We invite you to take a look at the new application, available now on our website; www.gsrma.org/forms/

Whether you are a returning applicant or future hopeful, we look forward to working with you on the path of continual improvement. Please reach out to Loss Prevention with your questions. We look forward to hearing from you.
