GSRMA is proud to announce that our very own Mark Marshall has recently received the Public Cemetery Alliance(PCA) President’s Award. This award is given to an individual or group that exhibits exceptional service and support of the PCA memberships and programs. Mark has always supported Public Cemeteries and currently holds a seat on the PCA board and is vendor-liaison to the California Association of Public Cemeteries (CAPC). Past recipients of the award include GSRMA, Mel Lewis, Ray Young, Bob Hunt, Cheryl Smith, John Anderson, Arnie Brinton, Brian Connealy, Art Leonard, Fair Oaks CD, Mary Shaw, John Wilkes and Robert Ohannesian.

Having worked at GSRMA over 18 years as Safety Officer, Mark was integral in opening up our membership to new types, specifically public cemeteries. When Mark joined GSRMA, we had just 52 members, and as of yesterday we are proud to announce we hit our 300th member, with over 120 of those being public cemeteries! During his time at GSRMA, Mark has been instrumental in developing our Loss Prevention Department, and has provided trainings to thousands of GSRMA member employees.

Mark is currently GSRMA’s Safety Officer, and in charge of member outreach and retention. Be sure to congratulate Mark on his award next time you see him!
