Golden State Risk Management Authority participated in the Public Cemetery Alliance’s Annual Conference held on October 23rd, at Rolling Hills Resort in Corning, CA.
Twelve GSRMA staff attended the pre-conference dinner the evening of October 22nd. GSRMA co-sponsored the event with the PCA and staff had the opportunity to mingle with both long time cemetery acquaintances as well as individuals new to the PCA family.
The next morning, four of our crew were in attendance for the conference including Risk Manager Scott Schimke, Assistant Risk Manager Jennifer Peters, Safety Officer Mark Marshall and Member Services Representative Naomi Whatley.
As the day progressed, GSRMA staff helped facilitate many of the break-out sessions. The sessions covered topics and questions contributed by PCA members. There was excellent audience participation and high energy from all involved.
We also provided a vendor booth that included a prize wheel that visitors enjoyed. This booth gave us additional opportunity to, again, spend quality time with conference attendees.
GSRMA values our partnership with the PCA and are proud to be able to support them in their endeavors to assist California public cemeteries be the best that they can be.
